Informal Language Exchange

TOMASITO (Parrilla Restaurant & Café) located at Manuel PAGOLA 3247 at the corner of Berro in Pocitos. (Berro is between Chucarro and 26 de Marzo for those new to the area, and only 3 blocks back from the Rambla in Pocitos.)
We intend to permanently install the Language Exchange Gatherings at Tomasito, and we think it offers some real advantages going forward. (We intend to return to Friday nights, every other week as before.)
First, It has a BIG PRIVATE ROOM upstairs....just for us, so there will be no need for squeezing in, and then not being able to get out and mingle. At Tomasito we can arrange the large upstairs space with comfortable tables and chairs so that it will be easier to hear (and practice English or Spanish). The room is glassed in with nice leafy views and it has air conditioning if needed for comfort during the summer.
The acoustics will be better, not only because we'll enjoy a better arrangement of tables just for our group, but also because the space has a much higher ceiling.
It's OUR PRIVATE SPACE, but there is still no "cubierto" charge and no obligation to have dinner, if you choose not to. The parrilla is downstairs so you can order as much or as little as you want from the restaurant. P, rices are reasonable and there is a full menu of food and beverages including not just food from the grill, but also snack trays "Picadas", Pizzas, Salads and Desserts.
Each person can run their own tab and credit cards are accepted.
There is even a small outdoor patio off the main room for those who wish to smoke.
Unlike many of the Rambla cafes, Tomasito can guarantee the space and also provide an all-weather refuge from rain, etc.
We realize that some regular Language Exchange members have other Thanksgiving plans, but if you don't and, even if you do, you're welcome to stop in between 8PM and Midnight to share conversation and the company of friends...PLEASE DO! (Let's show the folks at Tomasito who we are!)
As always, there is no invitation required to attend the Language Exchange gatherings and no agenda. Bring a Friend or two...Practice your English/Spanish with native speakers or...just come by to share some pleasant conversation, networking and good times together. We hope to see you there, either this Thursday or in two weeks (plus one day) on December 10th between 8PM and Midnight. (Summer hours are now in effect!)
